Update your beneficiaries

You can decide who should receive the money from your pension scheme when you die. If you do not make a choice, the benefits are paid to your next of kin. In Min pension you can see what will be paid and designate your beneficiaries.

It may feel somewhat uncomfortable or abstract to think about what should happen after your death. However, making a decision now can give you peace of mind, knowing that the money will go to the people you intend, and your loved ones will be financially protected when you are no longer around.

Consider who should receive the benefits

If you have not decided otherwise, the benefits are paid to your next of kin. In Min pension you can see who this is from a legal perspective. This may suit your situation perfectly, and then you do not have to change anything. But you may have other wishes. It can be particularly useful to consider this when you experience changes in your personal life - if for example you move in with someone, have children, get married or divorced.

Next steps

In Min pension you can see your beneficiaries when you die. Here you can also update your choice of beneficiaries.

We need name and civil registration number on the beneficiaries. If there are more than one beneficiary, you must also specify how the benefits should be divided between them.
