Disability pension
Our members are academics. In P+ you get one of the market's most favourable disability covers that not only insures your mobililty, but also your professional competency. This means that you will receive disability pension benefits if you lose the ability to work as an academic within your field.
With a disability pension your are guaranteed a monthly benefit until you regain your ability to work or reach your retirement age which entitles you to payment of retirement pension benefits.
P+ continues paying contributions to your pension savings if you receive disability pension benefits. This means that you can maintain your standard of living if you lose the ability to work. Both before and after your retirement age.
Your disabililty pension may account for up to 80 percent of your salary. If you are subject to P+ Life cycle, you can adjust the cover on Min pension
It is important that you contact us if you are on sick leave, or your ability to work is reduced. Otherwise, we do not know that you may be entitled to disability pension benefits.
When are you entitled to payment of disability pension benefits?
You can be paid permanent disability pension benefits from P+ if we assess that your ability to work within your field is permanently reduced to 1/3 or less.
Some member groups also have the possibility of being granted temporary disability pension if we asses that your ability to work within your field is temporarily reduced to 50 percent or less.
