Climate
Climate is a key theme in P's work on responsible investment. We work systematically to reduce the CO2 footprint of our investment portfolio, and the Paris Agreement is an important element in our work on responsible investment. We conduct enhanced active ownership engagement with the largest CO2 emitters in the portfolio. And we have a target to increase our share of climate-friendly investments.
Climate targets
P+ has set several ambitious climate targets that apply to the entire portfolio:
How we work on the climate action
You can read much about how we work in practice to meet our climate targets in our paper on the climate effort in P+ (only available in Danish) here
Divestment of fossil fuel companies
Since 2019, P+ has had an enhanced focus on fossil fuel companies, and we have continuously divested from coal, oil and gas companies. Today, P+ has divested from all the largest oil and gas companies and all companies that derive revenue from coal extraction. In 2024, P+'s annual general meeting adopted a new member proposal, and we have therefore tightened our divestment criteria related to oil, gas and coal-based utilities.
Investments in renewable energy
We have continually increased our investments that can support the green transition. In 2024, P+ invested in renewable energy in South America and an Australian battery park. Moreover, P+ made co-investments worth DKK 290 million in infrastructure projects with Omnes and invested DKK 1.2 billion in projects promoting the green transition.
