Further information for members of P, former JØP

P+ does not require health information. On the contrary, you become subject to provision periods.

On admission to P+ Regulations 2007, former JØP Regulations 2 members became subject to a 2-year provision period. A 2-year provision period also takes effect on resumption of contribution payments after more than 1 year of dormant membership and in case of risk increases of more than 25 percent.

Under P+ Regulations 2007, former JØP Regulations 2 and P+ Pension Udland, former JØP, the provision period also takes effect on opting for the spouse’s pension later than 1 month after admission to the pension fund or later than 1 month after the marriage and in case of opting for the children’s pension. Furthermore, payment of all single contributions and contribution increases that are not caused by a regular adjustment or job change activate a 1-year provision period.

There is no provision period applying to supplementary retirement pension under:

  • P+ Regulations 1973, former JØP Regulations 1
  • P+ Regulations 2007, former JØP Regulations 2
  • P+ Ratepension, former JØP
  • P+ Aldersforsikring, former JØP
  • P+ Ratepension Udland, former JØP.

The provision period also takes effect if after more than 1 year’s disruption you resume contribution payments and in case of significant contribution increases which are not related to a job change or a change in your job description, e.g. advancement.

Your pension benefits are reduced to 10 percent of your full cover if you become disabled during the first year and to 20 percent of your full cover if you become disabled during the second year. The payment is reduced for the rest of the payment period and can – except from a possible addition of bonus – not increase further in the entire payment period. This will also apply to a children’s pension and spouse’s or cohabitant’s pension in the event of death if the provision is applied.

In the group insurance, the lump sum death benefit and the lump sum disability benefit are both reduced to 50 percent if the provision is applied. If the death or disability are not related to the health issues, the entire sum is paid.

If already at the time of admission you have been diagnosed with a disability which normally would entitle you to disability pension (e.g. blindness or deafness), you are admitted with the provision that this disability does not make you entitled to disability pension benefits at a later time.
