A withdrawal penalty is an amount or percentage which is deducted from your deposit before your withdraw from the pension fund - i.e. if you transfer your deposit to another pension company, bank or receive a cash withdrawal compensation. The withdrawal penalty is fixed once a month as a minimum and depends on the value of the pension fund's financial assets.

The market value of the pension fund's investments (the reserves) is to a great extent allocated to the members' deposits. This means that there are not large joint reserves to absorb the price fluctuations.

The pension fund's rules on withdrawal penalties appear from the technical basis which is reported the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority.

At present, P+ has no withdrawal penalty.
